The energy and vitality of the organism can only be evaluated subjectively. Many times we feel a lack of energy in physical activity, physical exertion, mental work, or emotional stress. We also feel a lack of energy and vitality while being in excessive stress and living a fast life. Overall, fatigue and exhaustion limit and reduce the quality of life. We divide the conditions into acute and chronic fatigue.
Acute fatigue of the adrenals weakens strength and vitality for physical and mental activity. The result of physical stress is increased blood circulation for the skeletal muscles needed for a fight or flight. The volume of circulating blood also increases, there is an increase in heart rate, and the release of energy. If stress is long-term, accumulated energy that is not used contributes to weakening the organism and its immunity. The response to stress is different in each person. Genetic predisposition, approach to life, and upbringing play a role.
