Description
Menopause is a permanent loss of menstruation and fertility after the climacteric stage (the period of life starting from the decline in ovarian activity until after the end of ovarian function). Menopause occurs around the age of 51 (in the USA) and could be accopanied by hot flashes, irregular menstrual cycle, vaginal dryness, mood swings, sleep disturbances, hair thinning, formation of abdominal fat, and impaired fertility.
