Pain in the sacrum, in the lower back
Description
Lumbago is defined as hip pain caused by the withdrawal of muscles encircling the spine – vertebrae. It can be caused by an overload of the muscles of a given body area. The pain can radiate up to the lower extremity, through the seating area, i.e. the buttocks. The pain in the lumbar area comes suddenly or gradually worsens over several hours. In most cases, it occurs after a sudden movement and a position change. This often happens in the event of a rapid forward bend or when a heavy load is lifted quickly. The lumbar part of the vertebral column has 5 vertebrae, which are referred to in the scientific literature as lumbar vertebrae 1 to 5. (L1, L2, L3, L4, and L5).
