Description

Make a natural and non-toxic toothpaste from simple ingredients at home. Coconut oil has antibacterial, antiviral, anti-fungal, and anti-parasitic effects. It has a pleasant taste and ensures the correct consistency of toothpaste. Baking soda acts as an abrasive, lightens the teeth slightly, and can create a slightly alkaline pH environment in the mouth to neutralize the acids that cause tooth decay.

For this recipe, finely ground baking soda is needed. If you have a coarse-grained one, you can finely crush it in a mortar or grind it in a spice grinder.

It is possible to add medicinal herbs such as cinnamon, thyme, sage, chamomile, or star anise to the paste. All have an anti-inflammatory effect. These are added to liquid coconut oil.
